Malaysia, Singapore & India - January & February 2008
I was thrilled to be able to avoid the wrath of winter and be home in tropical Malaysia with my family most of January & February. I also had the priviledge of helping my dad with his book and learned a great deal about our family history...of which I'm very proud of, will always treasure and hope to spread among all future generations. It was nice to be immersed in family atmosphere and catch up with friends whom I haven't seen in a while. Just what the doctor ordered...

Mom and hibiscus from her garden. Coincidently, the hibiscus is the national flower of Malaysia.

An array of tropical fruit to tantalize the pallete - durian (spicy green), bell fruit, guava, kumkuat, mangos...yum!

January 2008 ~ Highlights of our trip to India included Jonathan attending a traditional Indian wedding at a tiny little village in Gujarat. We then rendezvoused in Delhi where we traveled via train to Agra to see the famed Taj Mahal...which is worth every bit of the hype. Then onto Jaipur, the Pink City, where we experienced our first camel ride and I received a blow to the head (head bleed) from running from a street scam artist. Sorry no pictures, was a little preoccupied with blood streaming down my face to take pictures. Aaahh...incredible India!
